Re: Fan Club de James et Oliver Phelps (Fred et George Weasley)
James et Ollie étaient au parc HP/Orlando ce mercredi
Oliver and James Phelps, the actors who portrayed the Weasley twins in the “Harry Potter” movies, were taping at Universal’s Islands of Adventure on Wednesday. The brothers were stationed near the theme park’s Hogsmeade village with Hogwarts as the backdrop at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The Phelpses read from a prompter and interacted with fans between takes. Universal team members comically shhhushed squealing passers-by and asked for no flash photography. Later, the brothers used omnioculars as a prop. They smiled sheepishly as they were escorted out of the area through the backstage area near the secondary butterbeer cart.
Folks on hand did not know the purpose of the taping, though there were whispers of commercials, DVD extras and other promotional media, perhaps tied to the upcoming one-year anniversary of Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Universal Orlando officials would not identify what the Phelpses were doing Wednesday.
Clearly, they were not in character: They’re now much taller — and not very ginger.
et une photo à la fin du 3 Peaks Challenge, 23 H non stop de compét° : inutile de dire qu'ils étaient bien vannés après !!!

un article et une photo d'Ollie pour le 3 peacks challenge
Harry Potter stars James and Oliver Phelps swapped their broomsticks for climbing boots as they took on the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for their favourite charities The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
The twins, who play Fred and George Weasley in the blockbuster series, scaled the heights of the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 23 hours after setting off on their challenge.
Taking in Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, Oliver said: ‘Climbing Ben Nevis took a lot longer than I thought it would but it was incredible to make it to the summit.. at the top of Britain. Scafell Pike was a challenge as it was where I hit ’the wall’ and by the time we got to Snowdon, I had only had about 2 hours sleep. It was tough getting to the top with fatigue setting in. But finally making it up there with just enough time for one last photo, despite the rain, I made it down just inside the time limit.’
Oliver added: ‘The pride and relief was amazing in completing the three peaks and it was a very rewarding experience . My stamina is higher than I thought it could be. The great support that I received from everybody kept me going, so huge thanks go to all.’
Encouraging their followers on Twitter to sponsor them, James has been raising money for the world-leading children’s hospital whilst Oliver has been raising money for the RNLI.
‘I have made a couple of visits to Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Christmas parties for a few years now,’ said James. ’But it was only earlier in the year that I visited the hospital itself. And it is a day I will never forget. Not only did I see how hard working all of the staff there are, but how amazing the children in there are also. Even for some, fighting life threatening illnesses, their attitude and determination was something that I will always remember.
‘Before I had even left the building I had decided that I wanted to do something to raise a little bit (of the £50m+ a year) to help rebuild and refurbish the hospital, buy vital equipment and fund pioneering research.’
Oliver is hoping to raise £2k to cover the costs of equipping and training two RNLI lifeguards who will patrol Fistral beaches in Cornwall, a beach he has surfed off in the past. Helly Hansen, official supplier to RNLI lifeguards who provide a seasonal service on 163 UK and Channel Island beaches, have also helped by providing the technical clothing Oliver needed to complete the challenge. In 2010, RNLI lifeguards aided 18,779 people and saved 107 lives.

t's the best of times and it's the worst of times for "Harry Potter" fans all across the globe. On one hand, we're right on the cusp of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," a film that's guaranteed to bring beautiful closure to one of the single greatest fantasy franchises of all time. On the other hand, there's that dirty word… closure.
Well, the doors haven't closed yet. Indeed, from where we're sitting, they're wide open — so wide, in fact, that a very important question still lingers: who is the greatest "Harry Potter" character of all time?
We're about to get to the bottom of that question right here at MTV News with the Harry Potter World Cup, a month-long tournament that will have you, the fans, voting to make your voice heard and determine who really is the greatest character in the entire Potterverse. 64 different competitors from all corners of J.K. Rowling's expansive series will enter the ring, but in the end, only one will emerge as the wizarding world's greatest champion.
As announced by James and Oliver Phelps, the real-life counterparts of the prank-happy Weasley Twins, the Harry Potter World Cup officially launches with first round voting opening on June 20. From there, it'll be round after round of single elimination duels between your favorite wizards and the villains you love to hate, and you'll be there every step of the way voting on which competitor deserves the grand title. The two finalists will be revealed on Monday, July 11, kicking off an intense final duel that'll play out just days before the theatrical release of "Deathly Hallows Part 2" — and the winning wizard will be revealed during MTV News' livestream coverage of the film's red carpet premiere in New York City.
So, what are you waiting for? Get to know the contestants by studying the official bracket, start spreading the word on Twitter using the official #mtvpottercup hashtag, and get those wands at the ready — only one wizard can be named the champion, and it's all up to you.
The Harry Potter World Cup Tournament Voting Schedule is as follows:
Round 1 – Monday, June 20th through Sunday, June 26th
Round 2 – Monday, June 27th through Thursday, June 30th at Midnight
Sweet 16 – Friday, July 1st through Tuesday, July 5th at Midnight
Elite 8 – Wednesday, July 6th through Thursday, July 7th at Midnight
Final 4 – Friday, July 8th through Sunday, July 10th at Midnight
Championship Round – Final 2 announced Monday, July 11th. Voting will continue up until the New York City premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2."

http://www.mtv.com/videos/movies/667669/harry-potter-world-cup-george-vs-fred-weasley.jhtml#id=1666016
There's no question that Fred and George Weasley are two of the most popular characters in the whole wide wizarding world of "Harry Potter" — just see how they're doing in their Harry Potter World Cup match-ups for further evidence— but are they the most popular characters? We'll find out soon just how much affection you have for the on-screen alter-egos of James and Oliver Phelps when they (inevitably) move onto their second round match-ups.
But with George likely to face off Ginny and Fred against his father Arthur, we're rapidly moving towards an important sub-question: which Weasley is the best of the bunch? It should come as no surprise, of course, that both Phelps brothers think their Weasley twin is the best of the red-headed clan.
"I'd say George is definitely the better brother," Oliver quipped. "I think everybody who watches 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' will learn that George is the better brother. He's got a cool little war wound going on there. Luckily my [ear] has grown back, but George is a fighter!"
"Eh, not a very good one, I don't think," James chimed in, letting his Fred flag fly. "Fred really puts his neck on the line all of the time. I think that becomes more prominent as the series goes on."
Both brothers put up good arguments for why Fred and George are better than one another. But seeing as they're on opposite ends of the bracket, the twins won't have to worry about dueling each other unless they both make it to the final round — and if it comes down to that, it'll be interesting to see if George's holiness or Fred's selflessness wins the day.
Are the Weasley twins your favorite characters? Which one would you vote to win the whole Potter World Cup? Let us know in the comments section and on Twitter!

un article où james parle de la mort de Fred
James Phelps, who played twin Fred Weasley in the Harry Potter films, recently talked to Parade magazine about his character's death in the final installment, Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and what it was like the day of filming the scene with his Weasley costars, especially brother Oliver and Rupert Grint. James also commented on his favourite Harry Potter character (Voldemort), and a few trinkets he took from the set.
James Phelps, who plays one-half of the older identical twin brothers of Ron, talked to Parade.com about saying goodbye to his beloved character. Phelps, 25, also revealed that he has just seen the final version of the film, and he predicts fans will be “blown away.”
On the last installment of the Harry Potter series.
“It’s really good! I mean, really good. I wasn’t sure what to expect, to be honest, but it blew me away.”
“It was surreal. I feel like a really close friend has died. It was more like a Saving Private Ryan scene than Harry Potter, so it was kind of cool, because every guy wants to be in an action movie and that’s what this is. But I pretty much just laid there and fell asleep. I think it was more of a challenge for the other guys than me. Rupert [Grint] and Oliver [Phelps], they really upped their game for that one. Hopefully people will like how it's been done.”
On how his real-life brother, Oliver, handled the dramatic scene.
“I think that it was an emotional day for everyone when we shot Fred lying there. We did about five takes total, and then Oliver was done because it had emotionally drained him. It’s really hard to put yourself in that position and imagine that kind of thing.”
On sharing the Potter experience with his brother.
“It’s been great. You go back and tell your family about it, but it’s even cooler to actually experience it with a family member. We can share all these things with each other.”
He managed to leave the set with a small memento.“I always wanted to take my wand, but they kept those because they’re doing a prop tour. But it would be quite cool to have one of those one day. But the one that I did actually get to take with me was money from Gringotts Wizarding Bank. The actual coins were really detailed.”
On his favorite Potter character.
I think Voldemort, to be honest. He’s not like any bad guy around. Normally, the bad guy shows some kind of remorse, but Voldemort doesn’t show any remorse to anybody. I think he’s quite powerful in that sense. People who have read the book know the outcome, but you still watch the movie and think, ‘How are you going to defeat this guy?’”
Looking back on his very first day of filming.
“I remember it very clearly. We were in a little village in Yorkshire, literally in the middle of the countryside, and we shot the last scene of the first movie when Harry gets back on the train. That’s the first scene we ever shot, and I can remember being nervous as hell.”
